It’s that time of year again and in the run up to Christmas Egmont books will be releasing some beautiful new Star Wars publications.

The first book is Where’s the Wookiee 2, the second in the series. Yes, Chewbacca is back and on the loose across the galaxy, and this time he’s brought some Wookiee friends. The book sees all new locations from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars story, as well as scenes from throughout the Star Wars saga. I tested this one out on my kids (3 and 5) and they loved it. What I found to be so good about it was that it seemed to captivate them for long spells at a time. Sadly, they have now claimed it as their own. I would highly recommend this as a book for parents and kids aged up to around 10 to do together; it is a great way to bond over some Star Wars and to introduce kids to some of the characters if they haven’t seen the films yet.

The second book is the Star Wars Millennium Falcon Book and Mega Model. It consists of press out pieces to build the Millennium Falcon (with no glue required!). When fully built the model is approximately 30x30cm and has moveable cannons and radar dish. Removable panels also allow you to look inside to find out more about this famous freighter. I particularly liked the booklet that came with it, and my wife is endeavouring to finish the model at the time of writing. Check out our Instagram feed to see how she gets on! Picture of both books are featured below and on our Instagram feed. Enjoy!

  1. I’m disturbed that I didn’t know there was a ‘Where’s the Wookie?” book at all, let alone two of them. But I am SUPER excited to hear that there are TWO ‘Where’s the Wookie?’ books out there!!! I’ve always enjoyed the detail that goes into the ‘Where’s Waldo?’ type search-and-find books and I’m pretty pumped to know Star Wars versions exist. Thanks for putting this on my radar!
